Hi, I’m Bryan

I’m a huge fan of software development and technology in general. I’ve spent a majority of my career at the enterprise level developing web and desktop applications using the .NET framework with the C# language.

I’ve never been much for the “religious” debates about which language is better than which or which framework is better; Instead, I prefer to make use of whatever tool(s) are available and make the most sense for accomplishing a specific task.

A little bit about me

I am a software developer

I started developing software when I was 13 years old. I’ve always been fascinated with how text can be compiled down in to a binary instruction set that is then further broken down in to neurons and electrons in order to have a machine perform a task.

What makes me … me

I’m the type of person that tries to make the most out of every minute of the day. I’m always striving to find that balance between work and personal life. I love software and studying about software practices, but I also enjoy other things in life as well and I’m always trying to make sure that I maintain a balance in life.

Aside from reading and developing software I exercise (not as often as I should), I spend time with my fiance and our two dogs, I take digital pictures, I travel, I listen to music, and I participate in and watch sports. There are a ton of things things that I’d like to do and to be better at, but unfortunately we only have a limited amount of time to accomplish them.

A little about you

You are interested in me

If I had to guess I’d say that you’re probably here in search of my resume or you’re just trying to do a little research to find out a little bit more about me. In either case, thanks for putting in the effort. I truly do appreciate anyone who takes the time to find out about someone they’re planning on doing business with.

As you can see, I’m a pretty open book. I work, I have a good time, and I try to separate and balance the two, because like many other things in life I think that everything is good in moderation.

What I can do for you

Depending on what you’re here for, I can do quite a bit.

Recruiters – I’d be more than happy to hear what positions you have available. If I’m a good fit for the company and the company is a good fit for me then we can take the next steps. If not, I also have a lot of good developer friends who could possibly be a better fit for the position as well.

Companies – If you’re here trying to find a little more information about me as a software developer then you’re in the right spot. I’ve spent quite a bit of time making sure that any development work that I’ve done is accessible online and also provided a lot of information in to my personality and what I can do as a developer.

A few friends I’ve made along the way

I’ve had the extreme pleasure of working with some great developers, quality assurance, managers, and all around good people throughout my career. These are just a few kind words that I’ve received along the way.

“I know that other people write “I’d work with this guy, again.” But, how many people mean it? Well, with Bryan, not only do I mean it, I’ve already done it! I hired Bryan while at DataCert and, then as a consultant at BP, I recommended him as another consultant to assist them with their desperate architecture needs. Bryan has a hunger for being correct and a fearlessness to pursue satiating that appetite. His code reeks of elegance and simplicity. He has wicked people skills that allow him to integrate into any team. I recommend him for any team, anywhere."

Curtis Schlak

“It was awesome to work alongside Bryan – he has an energy, an interest in technology, and an absorption rate that are hard to match. Combine that with solid coding, excellent interaction skills and you have one top of the line developer. What I like most about him was how driven he was to find ways of adding value and helping his team, and equally the department, get better in all aspects of our work; from coding, to testing, to setting up build scripts, servers, and even going so far as to dedicate a large amount of his spare time in building the tools we desperately needed."

Philip Mateescu

“Bryan possesses excellent technical skills and has proven himself to be an asset to his organization. Bryan is self motivated and was always someone I could count on to resolve a technical issue or develop a technical solution for a business requirement.”

Kevin Russell

“Bryan has the skills to develop and support enterprise applications and is great infront of the people that he supports. Great person on the team."
