Common questions
Are my spotted plates synced between my iPhone and iPad?
Yes. If you’re signed into iCloud on both devices, your spotted plates sync automatically through iCloud, usually within a minute or two.
Can I share my progress with someone in my family?
Yes. Open Settings → Sharing → Friends, then tap Send Invite Link. iOS will let you send the link through Messages, Mail, or AirDrop. Whoever taps the link can request to follow you, and once you accept, they’ll see your spotted plates in the source picker at the top of the main list.
How do I stop sharing my location?
Open Settings → Privacy → Share Location with Friends and turn it off. The app will stop uploading future locations and will also clear any locations you’ve already shared.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. After confirming, the app permanently removes your account, your spotted plates, your friendships, and any locations you’ve shared.
My friend can’t see my plates after I accepted their request.
Pull down on the main list in their app to refresh. The friend graph syncs through the app’s server, so there’s sometimes a short delay.
Anything else?
